If you plan a shuttle bus in Barcelona for guests, staff or delegates, the work is mostly in the brief, not in the vehicle. A shuttle is a timetable: where it starts, where it stops, how often it runs and for how long. This guide shows how to write that brief, how to size the fleet and what to check before you accept a quote from the companies listed above.
Corporate and event transport in Barcelona
The short answer: corporate and event transport covers any group service paid by a company or organiser, from a one-off transfer for a board meeting to a loop shuttle running all day between hotels and a venue. Most companies in our list also appear on Google as bus charter or bus company services, and many list business trips among the trip types on their websites.
The market is broad. Seat counts named on company websites range from 3 to 90, 6 companies state a fleet size and 15 mention vehicles adapted for passengers with reduced mobility. Fleet size is not a quality mark by itself, but it matters if you need several vehicles at the same hour.

Shuttle bus companies in Barcelona
Where a company is based affects the positioning cost and response time. In the 59 listed, Barcelona has 19, Sant Boi de Llobregat and Badalona 5 each, and Ripollet 4. Several others have one or two each across the metropolitan area, including Viladecans, Sant Quirze del Vallès, Cerdanyola del Vallès, Rubí and Santa Coloma de Gramenet.
Ratings in this category are more mixed than in some others: the weighted average is 3.96, below the 4.78 of our limo hire list, which is why we suggest reading recent reviews on each profile rather than relying on the average. See how we rank for how the list is ordered.
Our shortlist
These picks come from the profile data, not from any trip with the company, and each fits a different need:
- Best rated with many reviews: Autocares Vista Bus, in Barcelona, has 5 stars over 103 reviews. Its website names vehicles from 6 to 60 seats and lists business trips among its services.
- Open every day: Soler bus SL, in Sant Boi de Llobregat, has 5 stars over 71 reviews and shows 24-hour opening on Google.
- Longest history: Autocares Autocorb has 4.8 stars over 303 reviews, says on its website that it has operated since 1922 and has pages in four languages.
- Small groups: Singh minibus Barcelona, in Viladecans, has 5 stars over 66 reviews and offers minibuses and vans according to its website.
- Accessible vehicles mentioned: Autocares Badabus has 4.5 stars over 152 reviews, and its website mentions adapted vehicles.
- Multilingual website, many reviews: Direct Bus Barcelona has 791 Google reviews with 4.4 stars, and its website is in four languages.
How do you size a shuttle service?
Start from the largest group that moves at the same time, then add the loop time. A 30-minute loop with a 20-seat minibus carries about 40 people an hour each way, but only if loading is quick and traffic behaves. For peaks, ask for a second vehicle rather than a bigger one, since two vehicles also cover a breakdown.
A simple rule: if more than 60 guests leave a venue at once, book coaches for that wave and a smaller vehicle for the rest of the day. If you are unsure, ask the company to propose a plan and put the vehicle count in writing.
Driver hours and long event days
All-day shuttles bring in driver limits. Regulation (EC) 561/2006 sets daily driving at 9 hours, extendable to 10 hours no more than twice a week, with a break of 45 minutes after 4.5 hours of driving. If your shuttle runs from morning until night, the company may need a second driver or a relief, and that should be visible in the quote. Ask who replaces the driver and when.
Parking and stops for coaches in Barcelona
Barcelona manages coach parking and short stops through Zona Bus. Its official site publishes a daily permit of 35 euros per vehicle and short stops of up to 10 minutes, registered through the SPRO app. Some areas may need a booking in advance. Ask your company whether it handles this and whether the cost is included. Check the official page before the event, as these conditions can change.
What to ask before you book
- Does the company hold a discretionary passenger transport authorisation and valid insurance?
- Which vehicles will run, and is there a replacement if one fails?
- How many hours of service and waiting are included?
- How is it billed: per service, per hour or per route?
- Who is your contact during the event, and is there a phone line all day?
- What is the cancellation rule if numbers change?
If you also need a smaller premium vehicle for executives, our private driver and limo hire pages cover that, and the minibus page helps for groups too small for a full coach. For rough budgeting, see what coach hire costs. When your brief is ready, send it once with the quote form.
