It’s hard to make it more difficult and worse customer experience. Not only they dont allow cards, but also only notes of 10€ for a ticket sitges-airport that costs more than 9€! Meaning, either you bring coins or a note of 10€; or you are screwed. The alternative: the driver tells you to go to the ticket machine and pay with card, but if you do that, the only tickets available are always for two buses later, meaning wait for an hour. I tried to book in the ticket machine at 15:50 for the 16:05 bus and it was not possible, 17:05 only. This is the second day I try the same with identical result. Absolutely terrible experience with the bus service from BCN T1 to Sitges. First of all, BusGarraf does not accept card payments on the bus, so make sure you have cash. There is a ticket machine near the terminal exit that does accept card, but that’s about the only thing that works as expected. After that, you’re left waiting… and waiting… and waiting some more. Took e16 from Barcelona to sitges and had a smooth journey both ways. It was my first time using this bus service. I honestly relied on google for telling me public transport options and this seems like the most economical and straightforward option from where i was based in Barcelona. Cost around the same as taking the train €4.80 each way per person. The ride to sitges the bus was practically empty it was just me my travel buddy and one more passenger and the driver. Even with communication gap the driver was super helpful and when we reached sitges he even said it was our stop and confirmed it for us. He was super patient and kind. OH. MY. GOD. Shocking. An absolute disaster. Avoid at all costs. 40 minutes late from Barcelona to Sitges. After checking first to confirm we could store suitcases underneath, the surly driver said no. Had to ensure 60 minutes with 30kg suitcases on our laps because there were no seats. One passenger tripped over one of them. An absolute hazard. They also allow passengers to ride in the bus sitting on the stairs whilst hurtling 120kms an hour down the freeway. Surely there's several laws being broken there. Advice : avoid at all costs

I waited at the bus stop for a long time. When a bus finally arrived, it was full, so I had to wait for the next one. Then two more buses came at the same time. The one going to Diagonal wasn’t accepting cash, so I had to try to buy a ticket from the one parked in front. I went to that driver, but he wouldn’t accept a €20 note, and they don’t take cards either. In the end, I went to the train station, and they gave me a free T10 pass.
